Plyometrics
means specific mechanical and neurological components of muscular
system. Mechanical components includes: contractile components,
non-contractile elements, interaction of the series elastic component,
parallel elastic component and contractile component. Every plyometric
exercise includes three aspects: eccentric phase, amortization phase,
concentric phase. Indications of plyometric exercise depends on few
factors like: flexibility, strength, proprioception, age, weight,
surface and goals. Also we need to know the limit of plyometric
exercise means contraindications: acute phase of inflammation,
postoperative period, joint instability.
