Abstract
Tendon injuries
represent a group of
musculoskeletal overuse problems seen in athletes after stress and
competition sindrom,. They are usually caused by a high amount or
intensity of physical exercise. Similar tendinopathies may, however, be
seen in older individuals and recreational athletes with less training
stress. Strech tendinitisis a mecanical pathology may occur in young
sportives and olders with different strech but with a variablegenetic,
methabolic and pathological background. Degenerative changes may occur
in individuals with no extra stress on their tendons. They are
clinically identic, except that older patients tend to have more
degenerative changes and tendinopathies. Non-surgical treatment is the
method to choose in all, except high-level athletes. In this category
the terapy is constrain by the short time and the need of mantaining
general and local physical capacity for competition.
