Abstract. The aim of this study is to present a young female athlete that had a painfull ankle, secondary to repeteated minor traumas. The initial diagnosis was wrong and was folowed by an inapropiate treatment.The patient remained in pain and the right diagnosis has been established after a long procedure. Therefore the return in sports suffered a delay of almost one year.
