Posture
therapy Introduction - Materials
and methods Results - Conclusions | Abstract
The
emotional and mental state, together with the body, forms a whole
– the human organism – that can become unbalanced
at any
moment by modifying the state of just one of the components. Posture
therapy is a therapeutic method which uses body posture and attitude,
alternative muscle contraction and relaxation together with correct
breathing, leading to faster healing or improvement of various
conditions or traumas of the locomotive apparatus.

Results The
resulta of the study are shown in graph form.
At the
subjective parameters. We may notice that 65% at first and after 87%
subjects have recognized a qualitative and quantitative improvement of
sleep, even though this thing has not been noticed during the first
days.
We
expected the desire to train to have a raising curve because, by these
exercices, the subject obtains a relaxation state that allows for the
faster removal of the trainig tiredness.
When
traumas were involved, the subject was exercising within the limits of
his physical possibilities, but, at the end of the session, during the
second relaxation period, he was performing the final relaxation
technique.
When measuring the amplitude
of the spine, the following results were obtained. Spine amplitude was
the most spectacular parameter that changed, most of the times (85% of
cases) in the interval between the beginning and the end of the
session.
The set of exercices that has been
applied involved also exercising the abdominal muscles, fact that
generated in 85%
cases a change in lung elasticity with 2-4 cm.
In
the cases accompanied by articular pains, the improvement of the pain
simptom was possible because the change in the whole body position has
been tried, that, from a biomechanical point of view, has also changed
the articulary pressures or the way in which articulary movement was
performed.
The change in the psychic
tonus was a consequence of the already mentioned changes: pain
reduction, obtaining a more correct position of the body, good movement
amplitude, naturalness and harmony in movements.
The
least influenced were apetite and weight – probably the
relatively short duration of the program did not allow for obvious
changes.
We think that the key moments
in the success of the experiment were:
- relearning
and adopting a correct body position in accordance with the principles
of biomechanics; the achievement of this objective was made easy
through looking and self-correcting in the mirror;
- after
each series of exercices the introduction of a set of breathing
exercices;
- one-to-one working with the participants
to the experiment;
- mentalizing of the positions
together with self-analysis of the positions;
- obtaining
a relaxation before the beginning of the exercices;
- The
continuous induction of an optimistic, calm, relaxed state;
- appeal
to the imaginative resources of the subjects.
By
this experiment I wanted to identify simple and reproductible methods
to be used in the recovery or the improvement of the pain
symptomatology at sportsmen. The disadvantage of the method is that it
implies knowledge of psychology, mainly NLP, in order to perform the
final relaxation technique and, mostly, to strengthen the obtained
states.
ConclusionsObtaining
a reliable method by combining less used techniques
The
importance of obtaining a relaxation state, even in the case of
traumas, in order to obtain a faster recovery
Change
of the general attitude and the approach o problems by changing the
position of the body
Correction of certain physical
defficiencies (small and medium) by methods that are less
trauma-inductive for the subject
The sportsmen
participating in tis experiment have received access to a technique
that might be useful in the future, being possible to adapt it to
different medical situations – and not only.
