Abstract
Beside the obvious
increment in
contribution to
exercise programs
day by day. Exercise is an important cornerstone for weight loss.
Studies have observed that endurance athletes compared to sedentary
people, have higher HDL-C and lower TG concentration. Material and
method:We used treadmill protocol and during three month, for energy
balance, calorie intake reduced 500kilocalorie per day and applied
1775 kilocalorie diet. Determination of exercise heart rate used
maximal rate method(220-age). Results: When we
compared the basal
values with the values obtained after three months we observed
decrease of 8kg(10%) in body weight, 12,5% in body fat, 18% in
resting heart rate, 9,6% in waist circumference and 8% in hip
circumference.
Discussion:
Exercise provides
significant
decrement on total cholesterol, LDL-C, and TG. Current findings
proclaims that endurance type of exercise has positive effects on
lipid subgroups, especially serum TG and HDL-C cholesterol.
