Abstract
The
study contains a number of 35 sportsmen who experienced different forms
of knee sprains and needed, besides the speciality treatment, a
recovery period consisting of kinotherapy and other complementary
methods, too. The age distribution was the following: 19-25 years -31
subjects, 26-30 years - 1 subject, 31-35 years -3 subjects. Out of
these 24 were male and 11 female. The study lasted four years. The
evaluation consisted of individual clinical observation, measurement of
the articulatory mobility and a muscular balance. The initial
evaluation of the muscular force (r = 0.283, p = 0.099) and of the knee
level mobility (r = 0.217, p = 0.211) indicate a correlation weak and
direct. After treatment, the results show a correlation, strong and
direct, (r = 0.819, p < 0.001). Following the recovery period,
it was noticed a recovery of the articulatory mobility, within almost
normal limits, and the recovery of the muscular force as well.
