Abstract
The
subjects of our study, which has lasted for a sport competitive year
(2004-2005), were represented by 16 male volleyball players. The
work methods were: determination of lactacidemia in basal conditions,
during training and recovering, 60 minutes after the completion of
training and after official games (6th and 14th lap), when we have
determined lactacidemia in the day of the official game, 3 minutes
after the game and 60 minutes after it (period of recovering).
Comparative data
concerning lactacidemia achieved in the day of an official game and 2
months after the performance of an anaerobe test with cycloergometer
reveal the fact that the basal values are similar, while the values
after 3 minutes of effort (volleyball game or cycloergometer) and
after 60 minutes of effort are higher at the effort performed on
cycloergometer than in the game. This thing shows that from a
metabolic point of view, athletes behave more economically in a game
than on cycloergometer; this is the so-called metabolic training. These
data may suggest that volleyball players improve their anaerobe
behavior through adaptative changes, and that there are significant
differences between the response to the specific effort and the
standard laboratory response.
