Abstract.
The variety and multitude of the sportive branches, the number
continuously increasing of the performance sportsmen, the intense
solicitations imposed to those determine a various and extended range
of affections of which treatment must be oriented so that it achieves
the integral and fast recovery of the functional abilities of the
injured segment. Thus, the main objective of the sportive
traumatology is rather the prevention from occurrence of the
traumatic affections through their diagnosis and treatment applied in
preclinical stage than their treatment in a reversible stage. These
principles are applied also in the case of the lesions of the
meniscus, which, if they are fast and correctly treated, make the
reinsertion of the sportsman in the competitional activity done as
fast as possible.
