Abstract
Recovery
is often explained as a result
of all methods used for fight
against post-effort fatigue. Trough a complex kinetic programme
(relaxation techniques, self-suggestion, self-training), it has been
trying to achieve a quick and efficient mental and physical
relaxation for all sportsmen. This
study was made by ANEFS – medical department – from
april till
june 2004. The target of the programme was represented by 21 sport
students. These students followed a mental and physical recovery
programme, using psychotherapy methods. The programme included
relaxation techniques, self-suggestion,
self-training which are the most frecquently used in sport field. The
evaluation has consisted in medical tests: Dorgo index,
self-examination and a questionary paper. The paper questionary made
clear that all students acquired a good mental and physical
relaxation after the complex kinetic programme applied, and appetite
for training was very high. The Dorgo index was situated between
–10
and –5 (very good) for 66 % of the students, between
–5 and 0
(good) for 24 % of the students and between 0 and 5 (satisfactorily)
for 10 %. The study had proved that the positive effect of relaxation
techniques. The prophylactic and therapeutic procedures had
determinated a “good state” into the organism
similar to a
complex state of calm and equilibrium. Through physical and mental
relaxation we have created the necessary conditions for good and
proper recovery. Key
words: sports, performance, psychic
